A close friend, Alex Bufton that I work with at school had a shower for me several weeks ago with all of my co-workers who are dear friends. It was fun and little Liam got so many wonderful things! He sure did luck out! Here are shower pictures and also a 24 week photo. Time is flying by! The pictures are in no particular order.

Girlfriend...I look more pregnant than you!! :-) I hope you are enjoying being pregnant these days...I sure did when I was about where you are. Then I got huge and uncomfortable :-) We are definitely using Babywise and the other Happy Baby book as a supplement. I think it's fantastic. He's only 11 weeks and he's already a great sleeper (with a few rare exceptions). My sister also swears by it with Caleb at 15 months. Love seeing your updates!

Courtney, you are silly! You look great! I am really starting to enjoy being pregnant but I know the huge and uncomfortable part will arrive soon so I am taking it all in! Glad to hear ya'll are using Babywise. Josh and I are going to use Babywise as well. My sister used it with all four of her kids, my best friend used it with her son, and I have three other friends that have also used it and they all have kids that sleep very well. I also find that kids that have been on Babywise are for the most part well-behaved (of course every kid has their moments). I know so many people are SO critical of that book but I have only seen good results. My sister said you have to be flexible and she doesn't believe you should be SO rigid so that you cannot do anything with friends or family and that seems to make sense....I just hope I can do it! :-) Miss ya'll so much. Will you guys be making an Atlanta trip anytime soon?

I know some people who are critical of Babywise, too, but I find that those people don't really understand what it's all about. It is not about abandoning your child or making them feel unloved...it's about what's best for them. I think it makes them in the long run more self-reliant, self-disciplined, and self-controlled. Our version of the book talks alot about being flexible and we've definitely found that to be key!! Nothing is set in stone with a baby, but a daily routine helps, too...for baby's AND parents! We miss you guys, too...no immediate plans to come to Atlanta, but we'll let you know if we do!
